Build, Share, Act

Learn to facilitate better team conversations with LEGO® bricks

Turn what you experienced in the introductory session into a practical tool you can use with your own teams, clients or groups.

In one hands-on day, you’ll learn a simple, repeatable way to get people thinking, building and talking — so different perspectives are heard and the conversation leads to a clear next step.

Give everyone something to contribute

In most workplace conversations, some people think and respond quickly while others need more time. A few voices can shape the discussion before everyone has had the chance to develop or share their ideas.

Build, Share, Act offers a different way to begin.

Participants build their response to a carefully framed question and then share the story of their model. Everyone has time to think, everyone contributes and abstract or complex subjects become easier to explore together.

The group can then identify what matters and agree a practical next step.

LEave ready to use the method

During the day, you will experience the complete process, explore why it works and practise facilitating parts of it yourself.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Frame a question that produces useful thinking

  • Introduce building and metaphor in an accessible way

  • Help everyone contribute without interpreting their models for them

  • Identify themes and areas of shared focus

  • Turn what emerges into an action, owner and next step

  • Keep the conversation within a clear 45- or 60-minute structure

You’ll also design your first session and receive constructive feedback as you practice.

Take away everything you need to begin

The course fee includes:

  • 12 LEGO® Explorer packs

  • 12 LEGO® ducks

  • Three ready-to-run team conversation outlines

  • A reusable structure for designing future sessions

The materials are yours to keep, so you can put what you have learned into practice immediately.

Who is it for?

Build, Share, Act is for people who regularly need to help others think and work together — including team leaders, coaches, consultants, HR and learning professionals, project managers, educators and solopreneurs.

You don’t need to consider yourself a facilitator, and you certainly don’t need to be an accomplished LEGO® builder.

This is not a compressed LEGO® Serious Play® facilitator qualification. It is a focused introduction to one practical conversation method that you can use confidently within clear boundaries.

The course has been developed in association with Make Happy and shaped by Jonathan Bannister’s many years of practical experience using LEGO® Serious Play® with teams and organisations.

You’ll leave able to use one practical approach safely and confidently—without being overwhelmed by techniques you may never need.
