Grounding AI in Human Experience

Build your AI Experience Map together - a LEGO® Serious Play® Workshop that explore fears, hopes and opportunities, and charts the best way forward.

AI is arriving fast, and adoption doesn’t depend on algorithms, but your people.

Most employees are unsure where they stand: some are excited, others cautious, many overwhelmed. Without surfacing these experiences, even the best AI strategy will stall.

This workshop uses LEGO® Serious Play® to create space for honest conversation, collective sense-making, and artefacts that help teams tangibly deliver on practical next steps. The result: an AI journey that is human-first, and far more likely to succeed.

What happens in the session?

Over three hours, participants will:

  • Build and share personal perspectives on AI in their work.

  • Imagine what a human-first AI future could look like for the organisation.

  • Combine ideas into a collective “landscape” of opportunities and risks.

  • Use a simple readiness quadrant to explore current levels of confidence and urgency.

  • Turn metaphor into action by creating practical experiments and enablers for the next 90 days.

Too many leaders treat workforce AI deployments as a technology and data exercise. The reality is that AI remains intimately tied to human users — their experience will be a principal determinant of AI’s success or failure.

WAIT, LEGO BRICKS?…

Yes, LEGO®. Because something happens when we think with our hands.

LEGO® Serious Play® (LSP) is a renowned facilitation method backed by learning theory and used globally by organisations like Google, NASA, FedEx, the NHS and the UN. It works because it’s hands-on, metaphor-driven and deeply inclusive.

What sounds playful helps unlock serious insight.

A few quick facts about LSP

  • It is backed by academic research (IMD, MIT)

  • It is built on constructivist and constructionism (learning theories)

  • It’s used by top-tier organisations worldwide
